According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, on March 4, a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov arrived in Uzbekistan. The delegation also includes the Minister of Health of the neighboring country, Alexey Tsoi, who will get acquainted with the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the healthcare sector. During the visit, attention will be paid to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

It should be noted that the announcement of 2018 as the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan gave bilateral relations a new impetus, quality and content. As a result, consistent cooperation is being established in medicine, science, culture, art, tourism and many other areas. 2019 was declared the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the Days of Kazakh Medicine were held in our country.

Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the field of healthcare is developing every year. In particular, certain agreements were reached on the development of the pharmaceutical industry. The Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan is working on the project “Production of Uzbek pharmaceutical products in Kazakhstan according to the full cycle principle.” In addition, the private enterprise “Dentafill plyus” signed a memorandum of cooperation with the administration of the industrial economic zone “Antustik”.

In a neighboring country, a plot of land has been allocated for the construction of an enterprise for the production of medicines and medical devices on a full-cycle basis, and preparations are underway for communication.

Every year, a number of programs are carried out for doctors and medical students in various areas, which include study tours as part of the exchange of experience.

During the current visit, a visit to the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Surgery named after Academician V. Vakhidov was organized. The guests got acquainted with the conditions created at the center for patients and medical staff, learned about the high-tech surgical operations being carried out, in particular kidney and liver transplantation.

Members of the delegation will also visit the infectious diseases hospital of the Zangiata district, the National Children's Medical Center, a private clinic and a pharmaceutical company plant.

During the visit, healthcare experts from the two countries will discuss in detail the implementation of high-tech medical services in various fields of medicine, the use of modern technologies, digitalization, the development of the pharmaceutical industry and improving the quality of medicines and medical products, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
